Last week, we had our first group of the year join us from Saskatchewan. While they were here, they built a home for a family in need. Often, families made up of many children, live in one-room shelters comprised of cardboard and plastic. These homes can be stifling in the summer trapping and locking in the heat, yet unable to effectively shelter against the rain. These house builds are an important step for helping families out of poverty.
Then, in March we have two more teams that will be joining us from British Columbia. We are excited to host and work with these teams as together we can continue to show the love of Jesus to the people of Vicente Guerrero.
